Signals to be Switched Off at Holly Brige
On Wednesday, November 16, the signals will be turned off and continuous two-way traffic resumes through the area. Signals have been controlling traffic since early July.
Remaining work includes seeding, mulching, and signing. Project completion is scheduled by the end of November.
The new bridge replaces one built in 1949 that was deemed structurally-deficient and functionally obsolete.
FASTER – Funding Advancements for Surface Transportation and Economic Recovery – fully funded the $5.5 million project. Financed by vehicle registration and rental car fees, FASTER established a Statewide Bridge Enterprise, funding the replacement or repairing Colorado’s most urgent structurally-deficient and functionally-obsolete bridges.
