LARIMER/WELD COUNTIES — Starting at 8 p.m. on Sunday, November 20 and continuing until 6 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will conduct guardrail and median work on I-25 near Johnstown. The work will reduce traffic on northbound and southbound I-25 to one lane in each direction during the overnight hours from mile marker (MM) 249 to MM 258.

Crews will also perform striping work if weekend temperatures are above 40 degrees Fahrenheit, since the paint requires warmer temperatures to dry properly. No work will take place Wednesday, November 23 through Sunday, November 27 to allow for holiday traffic. Work will resume on Monday, November 28.

The following closures of I-25 will be in place, weather permitting:

  • One lane of northbound I-25 will be closed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  • One lane of southbound I-25 will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Minor delays are expected and wide loads are restricted to 16 feet. CDOT would like to remind motorists to obey all road signs and flaggers, and to drive Slow for the Cone Zone.
