Upcoming Maintenance Projects in Pikes Peak Area

September 26, 2011 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - TELLER/EL PASO COUNTIES – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be repairing segments along the highway shoulders this week, west of Colorado Springs.

Tuesday, September 27: Erosion control work on the shoulder of State Highway 67, between mile 64 and 66, near Mueller State Park.  Flaggers will alternate northbound and southbound traffic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Delays up to 20 minutes should be expected.

This operation, which enhances the stability of the shoulder, prevents the pavement from breaking and crumbling.

Thursday, September 29: Guardrail repairs at various locations along a three-mile segment of westbound U.S. 24, west of Cascade.  Right lane closed from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Some slowing should be anticipated through the area.

Motorists are reminded to please Slow for the Cone Zone, stay alert and pay attention to and obey all work zone/advisory signs and flaggers.
