Paving Operations to Close Various Ramps Tonight and Tomorrow Night
September 28, 2011 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 6 - DENVER – Tonight, September 28th and tomorrow night, September 29th, Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) maintenance crews will pave two ramps in the Denver metro area to improve the roadway surface.
As a result of the work, the following ramps will be closed, weather permitting:
- Westbound Colfax Avenue to I-25 – Tonight, September 28th, the ramp from westbound Colfax Avenue to I-25 will be completely closed from approximately 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Detour: Motorists can take westbound Colfax Avenue to Federal Boulevard where they will turn around onto eastbound Colfax Avenue for access to I-25.
- Northbound Colorado Boulevard to Eastbound I-70- On Thursday, September 29th, the ramp from northbound Colorado Boulevard to eastbound I-70 will be completely closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Detour: Motorists can take northbound Colorado Boulevard to 48th Avenue and then travel east to Dahlia Street. Once on Dahlia Street, travel south to Stapleton Drive where access to eastbound I-70 is available.
Delays are possible and alternate routes are strongly advised. CDOT would like to remind motorists to obey all construction signs and flaggers and to “Slow for the Cone Zone.” Fines for most infractions that occur in the work zone will be doubled.
All ramps will reopen by 5 a.m. each morning.
