I-25 Closure at Woodmen Road Postponed

September 9, 2011 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - COLORADO SPRINGS – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is rescheduling the closure of northbound Interstate 25 at Woodmen Road until next week.

I-25 originally was scheduled to be closed earlier this week to paint the sign structure that crosses the highway but work was delayed due to rain.

Beginning at 10 p.m. on Monday, September 12, and Tuesday, September 13, all lanes of northbound I-25 will be closed at the Woodmen Road Interchange (Exit 149).  All traffic will detour via the off- and on-ramp, with the traffic signals adjusted to provide additional “green” time for the northbound traffic traveling through the intersection at the bottom of the ramp.   Some slowing should be expected through the area.

All lanes of northbound I-25 will reopen to traffic by 6 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The gray structure will be painted mocha brown, the standard color for sign bridges on I-25 through Colorado Springs.
