Overhead Sign Work to Close Northbound I-25 Near 15th Street Tonight and Tomorrow Night

August 15, 2011 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 6 - DENVER — Tonight, August 15th and tomorrow night, August 16th, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will remove sign structures on I-25 between Auraria Parkway and Speer Boulevard as part of the I-25 bridge replacement project over the South Platte River, also known as the Bronco Arch Bridge.

Colorado Byways Receive Funding

August 18, 2011 - Statewide Transportation Plan - DENVER – Colorado’s Scenic and Historic Byways program is receiving more than $2 million for six projects as part of the 2011 federal funding cycle from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).

CDOT Releases the North I-25 Final Environmental Impact Statement, Seeking Public Input

August 19, 2011 - Northeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 4 - GREELEY – Today, August 19th, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) released the North I-25 Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for a 30-day comment period in order to collect public input on the Preferred Alternative and the phased implementation approach for the Preferred Alternative.

Today's Highway Traffic Impacts for the USA Pro Cycling Challenge

August 23, 2011 - Statewide Transportation - CHAFFEE, GUNNISON, AND SAGUACHE COUNTIES — Stage One of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge takes place today. The race will travel from Salida over Monarch Pass and then through Gunnison, Almont, and Crested Butte before finishing the stage in Mount Crested Butte.

Initial Results are Positive for Rolling Speed Harmonization Test on I-70

August 22, 2011 - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - SUMMIT COUNTY – The initial results of the rolling speed harmonization test conducted on August 13th on eastbound I-70 between Silverthorne and the Eisenhower/Johnson Memorial Tunnel are indicating that this effort does have the ability to create more uniform speeds for vehicles, and as a result, could improve safety, reduce traffic crashes and ultimately improve traffic flow on the corridor.
