Roadway Repairs to Close Four Lanes of Southbound I-25 Near County Line Road Tonight

August 17, 2011 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 6 - DENVER – Tonight, Wednesday, August 17th, Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) maintenance crews will close four lanes of southbound I-25 near County Line Road for roadway repairs.

Single and double lane closures will begin at 10 p.m. with all four lanes closing by 11 p.m.  All ramps and the right lane will remain open.

“We will be repairing a concrete slab in the center lanes of southbound I-25,” said CDOT Maintenance Supervisor Mark Carrillo.  “For the safety of the traveling public and our workers, it is essential to close the left lanes in addition to the center lanes. With only one lane open during the closure, we do encourage motorists to seek alternate routes.”

Major delays are expected tonight and alternate routes are strongly advised.  CDOT would like to remind motorists to obey all construction signs and flaggers and to “Slow for the Cone Zone.” Fines for most infractions that occur in the work zone will doubled.

All lanes of southbound I-25 will reopen by 5:30 a.m. on Thursday.
