August 18, 2011 - EL PASO COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is paving North Gate Boulevard at Interstate 25 next week.

On Monday, August 22, various lanes will be closed on westbound North Gate at the I-25 interchange from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.  The ramp from northbound I-25 to westbound North Gate also will be closed during the same hours.

On Tuesday, August 23, eastbound North Gate will be paved at I-25 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., with various lane closures in place.  The ramp from southbound I-25 to eastbound North Gate will be closed during the same hours.

DETOUR: Exit I-25 at Baptist Road, east to Gleneagle Drive, Gleneagle south to North Gate.

Traffic will be directed through the project area both days so motorists are reminded to please Slow for the Cone Zone, stay alert and pay attention to and obey all work zone/advisory signs and flaggers.

This is a preventative maintenance paving operation, extending the roadway’s effective surface life three to five years.
