Resurfacing Project in Walsenburg Tomorrow

August 9, 2011 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - WALSENBURG – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be paving two blocks of Main Street (Interstate 25 Business) on Wednesday, August 10.

Beginning at 6:30 a.m. and continuing until about 3 p.m., Main Street will be closed between the railroad crossing and 6th Street.  Traffic will detour around the work zone via city streets.  The Walsenburg Police also will assist with traffic control.  Minimal delays are expected.

The paving is part of a preventative maintenance operation, extending the highway’s effective surface life three to five years.

Motorists are reminded to please Slow for the Cone Zone, stay alert and pay attention to and obey all work zone/advisory signs and flaggers.
