In addition, one lane of eastbound I-270 between Quebec Street and I-70 will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, August 14th – 18th, from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m., Friday and Saturday, August 19th and 20th, and from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday, August 21st .

Major delays are possible and alternate routes are strongly advised.  CDOT would like to remind motorists to plan ahead, obey all construction signs and flaggers and to “Slow for the Cone Zone.”  Most fines for infractions that occur in the work zone will be doubled.

This interchange improvement project constructs a full interchange at I-70 and Central Park Boulevard, which is located between Havana Street and Quebec Street.  The project will construct all ramps connecting Central Park Boulevard with eastbound and westbound I-70 and I-270.

SEMA Construction, Inc. is the contractor of this $47.2 million project being funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) as well as the City and County of Denver voter-approved Better Denver Bonds.  The City and County is providing primary construction oversight, with cooperation and additional oversight by the Colorado Department of Transportation. The interchange will be open to traffic by early October 2011.
