Road Damage Reduces Lanes on Parker Road
July 19, 2011 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - DOUGLAS COUNTY – Only one lane is open on northbound State Highway 83 (South Parker Road), a couple of miles south of Parker, after the concrete road surface buckled due to the hot temperatures.
The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has closed the right and center lane of northbound Highway 83, just south of North Pinery Parkway, since the roadway is not level enough to safely remain open to traffic. Drivers should expect some slowing through the area, primarily during tomorrow morning’s rush hour.
Repairs will take place tomorrow morning and CDOT expects to reopen both lanes by early afternoon.
