Paving Operations on State Highway 9

July 8, 2011 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - SUMMIT COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be paving State Highway 9 next week, north and south of Breckenridge.

Work is taking place from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., as follows:

Monday, July 11

Less than ½ mile will be paved near the Agape Outpost (mile 90.4 – 90.8).  Traffic shifts will be employed through the work zone to maintain traffic flow.

Tuesday, July 12, through Thursday, July 14

Various segments paved between the south end of Breckenridge and the Blue River area (mile 82 – 86).  Flaggers will alternate northbound and southbound traffic, with stops up to 10 minutes.

The road is being resurfaced with 1 ½ inches of asphalt, preventing additional surface deterioration and helping to preserve the road base.
