Paving on State Highway 9 This Week & Next

June 6, 2011 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - SUMMIT COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be paving State Highway 9, south of Frisco, on Wednesday, June 8, and Thursday, June 9.

Paving operations will take place between Farmers Corner and Tiger Road, approximately 1½ miles.  Flaggers will be alternating northbound and southbound traffic from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Traffic stops up to 20 minutes should be expected. A 40 mph speed limit also will be in effect through the work zone.

Work will resume on this segment of Highway 9 during the same hours next week – Monday, June 13, through Thursday, June 16.

The road is being resurfaced with 1 ½ inches of asphalt, preventing additional surface deterioration and helping to preserve the road base.
