Paving on Highway 115 Next Week

June 3, 2011 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - COLORADO SPRINGS – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be paving Nevada Avenue (State Highway 115) at the south end of Colorado Springs next week.

Single lane closures can be expected at various locations along northbound and southbound Nevada, between Interstate 25 and Lake Avenue, during the following time periods:

Sunday, June 5, 7 p.m. to Monday, June 6, 5 a.m.
Monday, June 6, 7 p.m. to Tuesday, June 7, 5 a.m.
Tuesday, June 7, 7 p.m. to Wednesday, June 8, 5 a.m.

Drivers are asked to please Slow for the Cone Zone, stay alert and pay attention to and obey all work zone/advisory signs and flaggers.

The road is being resurfaced with 1 ½ inches of asphalt, preventing surface deterioration and helping to preserve the road base.
