Highway 36 Project Going on Hiatus

June 24, 2011 - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - ADAMS & ARAPAHOE COUNTIES – Paving operations on U.S. 36 between the Watkins area and Bennett will be shutting down temporarily for the beginning of harvest next week.

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is suspending work on Friday, July 1.    Operations will remain shut-down through the last week of July, allowing unimpeded travel while there is increased traffic through the area from farm vehicles.

In addition to asphalt paving, remaining work on Highway 36 includes new signing, seeding and striping between Interstate 70 (Airpark Road) and Bennett (mile 76.4 - 89).

The project is scheduled for completion in August 2011.
