US 50 Frontage Road Paving
May 5, 2011 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - CAŇON CITY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be paving Fremont Drive (U.S 50 Frontage Road) between 15th Street and Raynolds Avenue next week, weather permitting.
On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (May 9-11), Fremont Drive will be closed at various locations between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. CDOT will close and pave one block at a time, reopening each block to traffic as work is completed. Drivers will need to use Royal Gorge Boulevard (U.S. 50) or other local roads around the closure points.
The paving is part of CDOT’s preventative maintenance operations, increasing the effective surface life of the roadway three to five years.
Motorists are reminded to please Slow for the Cone Zone, stay alert and pay attention to and obey all work zone/advisory signs and flaggers.
