Paving on Highway 115 Resumes Next Week
April 21, 2011 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - FREMONT COUNTY – Rotomilling and paving operations will continue in the Florence area for a few more days after rain delayed the project this week. Work initially was scheduled to be completed on Friday, April, 22, but now is scheduled to continue through Wednesday, April 27.
The project area remains the same: Main Street westbound in Florence, from Gumaer Avenue to Florence Avenue; and eastbound and westbound SH 115, from the east end of Florence to the Arkansas River Bridge. Flaggers will alternate traffic in various locations from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and delays up to 10 minutes should be expected. The speed limit will be reduced to 30 mph and vehicles wider than 11 feet will not be permitted through the work zone.
