CDOT Invites Public to Open House for Upcoming US 6 Project in Eagle
EAGLE– The Colorado Department of Transportation and consultant HDR will host a public open house on Wednesday, March 23, at the Eagle Town Hall Council Chambers on 200 Broadway, from 5 PM to 7 PM. The purpose of the open house is to present details of the Green Eagle River Bridge Replacement, located one mile east of the roundabout at Eby Creek Road on US 6 in Eagle.
The project involves the replacement of the Green Eagle River Bridge. The new bridge will feature three lanes and will be constructed on the existing roadway alignment. The bridge design includes a third lane to accommodate a turn lanes for Nogal Road, which intersects US Highway 6 north of the bridge location. The turn lanes at Nogal Road are undersized and need to be lengthened to address current standards—they will be extended to the bridge to improve safety in this area.
At the open house, details of these design elements will be presented, and project representatives will discuss schedules and anticipated travel impacts. Community members are encouraged to stop by, or contact Peter Lombardi 970-328-6385 (Ext 106).
