Maintenance Work to Cause Delays on Northbound I-25 on Friday
February 16, 2011 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - COLORADO SPRINGS – On Friday, February 18th, weather permitting, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will conduct some maintenance work on northbound I-25 between Nevada Avenue and Academy Boulevard. The work will require a single right lane closure from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
During the closure, the speed limit will be reduced from 65 MPH to 55 MPH through the work zone. Most fines for infractions that occur in the work zone will be doubled. CDOT would like to remind motorists to obey all construction signs and flaggers and to “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
Delays are possible throughout the day on Friday and alternate routes are strongly advised.
