Public Invited to Highway 86 Meeting

January 11, 2011 - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - CASTLE ROCK – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is holding an open house next week regarding the upcoming State Highway 86 reconstruction project in Castle Rock.

It will be held on Wednesday, January 19, at the Renaissance Elementary Magnet School, 3960 Trail Boss Lane, in north Castle Rock.  Representatives from CDOT and the project contractor will be on hand for questions and comments, anytime between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.  Project display boards also will be set-up for viewing.

The project is scheduled to begin in late January and this meeting is an opportunity to learn more about the reconstruction of Founders Parkway, between Allen Way and Trail Boss Drive, and between the IREA substation and the SH 86/Founders Parkway intersection.  Work includes reconstructing the concrete road surface, a new storm drain system, new raised medians, new curbs and gutters, and landscaping.

Reasonable accommodations will be provided for persons with disabilities or language barriers.  Please contact CDOT’s Joshua Breedlove at (303) 365-7230 or e-mail [email protected], if you require such assistance.
