Rate Increase for I-25 HOV/tolled Express Lanes Starts January 1, 2011

December 27, 2010 - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 6 - Beginning January 1, 2011 the High Performance Transportation Enterprise (HPTE) will be raising its morning and afternoon peak hour toll from $3.50 to $4.00 on the I-25 HOV/tolled Express Lanes.

The toll increase is necessary under the HPTE’s agreement with the Regional Transportation District.  Per the agreement, the I-25 HOV/tolled Express Lanes peak hour toll cannot be any less than the express bus fare for that route. As RTD recently announced that it was increasing its bus fares, the peak hour toll will now be increased to match RTD’s express bus fare.  The peak hour toll is the only rate that is being increased.
