Access Project Underway on US 160/550 Frontage Road in Durango

October 5, 2010 - Southwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 5 - DURANGO – Nature’s Oasis and contractor Bonds Construction have begun a project to make access improvements at the US 160/550 frontage road adjacent to the store’s property.

Following a State Highway Access Permit administered by the Colorado Department of Transportation, the project will construct a left-turn lane for southbound traffic entering Nature’s Oasis on the east frontage road.

TRAVEL IMPACTS - Crews began work on Monday, October 4, and the project is expected to last through November 6, 2010. From 9 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday through Thursday, and until 3 PM on Fridays, shoulder closures will be in effect, and traffic will periodically be reduced to one lane through the project’s work zone. Daytime travel delays can be up to 15 minutes during future paving operations. There will be no work during holidays or weekends. Further information will be sent as the project progresses.
