We would like to alert your organization and members about a recent phishing scheme brought to our attention from a diligent contracting vendor doing business with CDOT. We would like to provide you with information that will assist your member companies and their staff as they process transactions with CDOT.

CDOT breaks its procurement practices into two main units: Highway and Bridge Contracts, and Procurement & Contract Services. The Highway and Bridge Contracts unit handles all procurement related to state highway system improvements, while the Procurement & Contract Services unit purchases materials, equipment, and services needed for the day-to-day operation of CDOT.

Procurement handles purchasing of materials, goods, and services that are necessary for the day-to-day operations of CDOT. Examples include:

CDOT's Construction Contracts Unit oversees procurement related to the construction of the state highway system. These contracts are issued as Invitations for Bid, and may include services and materials like:
