About Commissioner McLachlan

Barbara H. McLachlan is a fourth-generation Coloradan who lives in Durango, which means a lot of driving to get around the state. She taught high school English for 20 years, then served as a State Representative from House District 59 for eight.

She has two children and is widowed. It is her honor to join the Transportation Commission to continue working for all Coloradans while representing rural parts of the state. She is ready to learn.
