Concept Development Process
The Colorado Department of Transportation has initiated a concept development process for the I-70 Mountain Corridor—from the top of Floyd Hill to the Eisenhower Johnson Memorial Tunnels.

Objective
The objective of this process is to develop a shared vision for the corridor between stakeholders. The results of the effort will be the basis for a Tier 2 National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process that will follow.
Process
The I-70 Context Sensitive Solutions (CSS) process will be utilized for this study, and the six steps will begin with the initial project leadership team (PLT) meeting, which was held on Aug. 30, 2016. CDOT anticipates that the visioning, scoping and NEPA process will take approximately 18 months to implement.
